Within the scope of the Joint Master's Programmes with Thesis in the fields of Field Crops, Horticulture, Animal Science and Plant Protection — signed between our University and Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU) and approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) on 25.06.2026 — representatives of TSAU paid a working visit to our University with the support of the Erasmus+ KA171 Programme.
The delegation, headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yakubov Farrukh, Dean of the Faculty of Joint Educational Programmes, comprised Prof. Dr. Boboqul To'xtayev, Prof. Dr. Egamyor Uyamov, Assoc. Prof. Dr. G'ulom Jumaboyev and Lect. Fozilbek Mardanov. In addition to the Rectorate, the delegation held meetings at the International Relations Office, the Institute of Graduate Education and the Faculty of Agriculture.
The talks addressed the operating procedures of the programmes, which will begin admitting students as of the Fall Semester of the 2026-2027 Academic Year. Graduates of the programmes will be entitled to receive a separate diploma from each of the two universities. During the meetings, which were also attended by the relevant heads of departments and representatives of the Faculties of Agriculture and Forestry, the parties exchanged views on potential new joint degree programmes that could be established in the future.
The visit also included an assessment of the joint studies carried out by TSAU researchers together with Ahmet Bircan Tınmaz, Coordinator for Medicinal and Aromatic Plants at the Atatürk Central Horticultural Research Institute in Yalova, and his team. In this context, new research projects that could be implemented with the participation of our University's faculty members specialising in the field were discussed.
