The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) "Sustainable Management and Digital Visibility of Ecotourism Destinations (SuMDiVED)", hosted by Isparta University of Applied Sciences, began on 21 September 2026 with its online opening session. Bringing together students and academics from Türkiye, Poland, Lithuania, Romania and Albania, the programme focuses on the sustainable management and digital visibility of ecotourism destinations.

At the opening session, BIP Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ömer Kürşad Tüfekci welcomed the participants and introduced the aims of the programme and its partnership structure. Dr. Ferdi Akbıyık of the BIP team then briefed participants on the programme content, schedule, assessment process, and the physical mobility week to be held in Isparta.

The first lecture of the programme was delivered by Prof. Dr. Agata Niemczyk and Dr. Zofia Gródek-Szostak from Krakow University of Economics. Titled "Climate Change and Its Effects on Natural Ecotourism Resources", the lecture examined how climate change affects natural ecotourism resources and what this means for destination management.

The partner institutions of the programme are Isparta University of Applied Sciences (Türkiye), Krakow University of Economics (Poland), Kazimieras Simonavičius University (Lithuania), Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) and University of Vlora "Ismail Qemali" (Albania). Worth 6 ECTS credits, the programme consists of online weeks on 21–25 September and 5–9 October 2026, followed by a physical mobility week in Isparta on 12–16 October 2026. During that week, participants will take part in technical visits and field trips to Yalvaç, the Ancient City of Pisidian Antioch and Pamukkale, and will present their final projects.
