The Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) collaboration on the theme of "Sustainable Agricultural Production and Circular Economy," which our university hosted during the past academic year, continued this year under the hosting of the University of Perugia in Italy.

BIPs conducted within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme are an innovative type of mobility that combines short-term physical mobility with a mandatory online component, bringing together students and academics from different countries around a shared academic theme. This structure aims to strengthen both international cooperation and interdisciplinary, applied learning.

This year's programme theme was determined as "Sustainable Agricultural, Animal Production and Circular Economy." The online portion of the programme was held between 4–21 May 2026, and the in-person (physical) portion took place at the University of Perugia between 8–19 June 2026.

The students and academics who participated on behalf of our university received both theoretical and applied training on topics such as the effects of climate change on natural resources, sustainable agricultural practices, soil and agricultural water management, sustainability in crop and animal production, and the relationship between agriculture and the circular economy. Participants came together with academics and students from different countries and exchanged experiences in a multinational academic environment.

The transfer of hosting this year to the University of Perugia—in a collaboration that was initiated last academic year under our university's hosting—demonstrated that the partnership has acquired a lasting and reciprocal structure. This continuity has become a concrete reflection of our university's internationalization goals and the strong collaborations it has established with institutions in the European Higher Education Area.

We thank the academics who contributed to the programme and our participating students, and we believe that collaborations of this kind will continue to grow in the periods ahead.
